Senior Recruitment Manager
My journey at SEW has been rewarding and challenging. I started at SEW when there was only a handful of employees and it has been amazing being able to see the direct impact the people engagement team has had on SEW’s growth, we are now a global company with diverse talents across the world. Being able to bring people together for a common interest that directly impacts the globe and resources we use every day is a very satisfying and rewarding opportunity. The people engagement team has made sure to grow and cultivate the SEW team into the family it is today, I am so thankful for this opportunity and look forward to the expansions we will have this year.
Kevin Dang
Manager, Technical Delivery
Joining Smart Energy Water was one of the best learning decisions that I have made for myself. Coming from Fintech, I did not know what to expect of the Utility vertical. Smart Energy Water made it very easy for me to learn and fit in. My reporting manager trusted me with many high-profile customers, and he provided the autonomy for me to deliver my projects successfully. I face many challenges with my project, like every technology implementation; however, I know I can always count on our technical and leadership team.
Brad Adamske
Vice President, Sales
I often tell job candidates during the interview process what a blessing SEW has been to my family and I. When I joined, I had no clue about the Utility Industry but thankfully, SEW invested in me, taught me about the industry, and provided the opportunity to succeed. I have worked for many startups over my 30+ year career and several have been high-growth, but nothing has compared to SEW. To have the successful products we have, delivering them to an industry that so badly needs them, serving a mission that is so admirable, working with people so dedicated, and customers so committed, it truly has been (and continues to be) a career opportunity of a lifetime. If you have the DNA to win and like to work hard at something that matters, come join the SEW team and be a part of our success!

I joined SEW as a fresher from JIMS in 2016 and I am currently working as Product Lead for SMW. My journey has been challenging, enriching and wholesome learning experience for me because I got to work on various things from marketing research to product management. I enjoyed the autonomy, while also having to shoulder responsibilities closely with the leadership. I wasn’t restricted to just one kind of profile in my journey and I felt like I was adding value to the company and my skills were being optimally utilized at the same time. I was surprised to see how engaged and supportive everyone has been in giving me opportunities to learn, challenging me on projects, sharing insights & discussing about my career aspirations. It’s something that I’m proud of and I talk to friends and family about
Best part of working with SEW is that we fit pieces of the puzzle together. I am glad that I got the opportunity to work in an environment that focuses on enabling each other and celebrating team accomplishments. I love having a voice. We get an opportunity here to share our ideas and the whole team works together to make them happen and you are appreciated at the same time for your hard-work.
Most challenging and rewarding for me was First, Collaboration, I love my job because everyone shares the same vision and is dedicated to the mission. Secondly, Trust, the management has put in me to handle big projects as a part of the product, which in return has enhanced my capabilities. And thirdly, bringing solutions to the table that were logical and reasonable and getting your team members, having enormous experience in this field, on board, with those solutions.
In the span of more than 5 years, I have experienced many moments which were not only memorable but also at the same time kept me motivated. Being a part of successful client deliveries and that too major ones like PG&E/Burbank Water & Power/Dakota County etc. is totally unforgettable and getting rewarded at the same time adds more charm to it. I can never fail to recall the three rewards I got in this journey – MVP, Loyalty and Excellence. One thing which I personally can’t forget is that I was able to work from 3 offices of SEW – India, USA and Canada and meeting different people.
My advice to people starting their career will be to be patient no matter what the situation is. Patience is the key to success. The difference between a successful and unsuccessful person is that the unsuccessful person loses his patience and gives up. I think I learned this the hard way. There will be chances that conflicts happen, but don’t lose yourself in the process and never let conflict affect you or your work. Never give up on your passion, always take out time do things which you like to.

I started my journey in 2014 and it’s been 7 wonderful years already. I am fortunate to be part of an organization whose journey has been through leaps and bounds, and I have been a witness to most of them With SEW, I got opportunities to work on many new, and challenging projects, and the learning curve has been exceptional – and I am thankful to have worked alongside a great team who always have my back.
Best part of working at SEW is that we are all connected by the same vision, and all of us are working towards the same goal. This truly creates a family where everybody is working hand-in-hand, supporting and guiding each other.
Most challenging and rewarding thing about working with SEW is that it gives us unique learning opportunities - creating exceptional applications in the field of ever evolving UX for CX, WX and IX. To meet the extensive requirements – we need to be at par with the latest technology, its functionalities, and learn and adapt quickly. We need to keep multiple factors in mind when designing - Designs, Technology, ADA, Responsiveness, and usually mange to deliver get a ‘WOW’, that too in the smallest possible timeframe.
Every day at SEW is memorable. There is not one day where we don’t push ourselves in terms of creativity, efficiency and effectiveness. And when the fruit of our labor is recognized – the hard work is worth it. So to sum up- every challenge, every learning opportunity that we encounter at SEW become a memory worth cherishing.
My advice for people would be to never stop learning. Don't ever lose the student inside you, learn as much as possible, from where you can, and from whom you can. Knowledge is golden so make the most of it
Prashant Vashisht
Product Delivery Director
My association with SEW has been very enriching and gratifying, with every day offering something new to learn. As a Delivery person, working with geographically diverse clients, understanding their market, their digital debts are some of the intriguing as well as challenging parts of my job. But what is equally rewarding is delivering a strong product that answers all their requirements. The successful launch of the 10s version of the SCM product in two of the biggest utilities of North America – both on the same day in Q1 2021 - is one of the most memorable movements in my SEW journey so far. However, going by the other big opportunities that are lined up for this year, I am sure there are many more memories to be created.
SEW is a platform that not only can connect billions of people but also offers countless challenges to young professionals to stretch their minds with new experiences and make them fearless and spunky. My advice to all the young aspirational professionals would be to always look for such a company and play big to have a profound impact on their career
